Coordinator- BCC and Documentation

Job Descriptions for the Position:

  1. Preparation of need based BCC documents and material for community processes.
  2. Preparation of monthly report on Sahiyya programme, in coordination with the M&E coordinator.
  3. Build capacity of the District & Block level Sahiyya Resource Units for documenting the best practices & processes.
  4. Provide support to Data Assistant & other staff.
  5. Identify processes which need documentation under the guidance of team leader and experts; proactively document lessons learnt and innovations for the identified audience.
  6. Support the Team Leader in preparing plans, annual action plans, project reports, progress reports and other documentation;
  7. Update the implementation plan by initiating changes,
  8. Deletions and additions of new activities, when necessary; edit documents and reports as requested;
  9. Other responsibilities, as deemed necessary time to time.

Please note that the VSRC is supposed to provide a holistic support for the community processes under NRHM hence all the job profiles in VSRC shall also cover a lot of involvement and support in the core VSRC work from time to time, sometimes beyond the specific profile.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Education & Experience: Post Graduate or equivalent in Development Communication/ Journalism and mass communication/ communication management. Qualification criteria could be relaxed only for those candidates with considerable experience in the relevant fields and excellent track record.
  2. Minimum 6 years experience.

Desirable Qualification:

  1. Experience of working in Development Sector, especially health & nutrition.
  2. Fluent in Hindi & English: both spoken and written.
  3. Excellent understanding of community processes under NRHM- like ASHA, Sahiyya, Village health committees etc.
  4. Experience of working with state run community participation programmes, especially around health and nutrition.
  5. Good Documentation Skills
  6. Good Communication & presentation Skills
  7. Proficiency in computers, especially MS Office with knowledge of English and Hindi typing
